Check out our Keller, TX Swimmer of the Month

April 9th, 2012

Christine is the swimmer of the month for April.  She is eight years old and in the 3rd grade.  Her hobbies are riding her bike and reading.

Christine, who is relatively new to swimming and SafeSplash, is a level 3 swimmer.  In a short amount of time she has progressed quickly in her swim class.  She always comes to class with a smile on her face and ready to learn.  Mastering techniques seems to be her main focus, as she loves to do bobs (bubble air-exchange), kicks, and jumps.  Now that she is learning the parts needed to swim, we are working on putting it all together to have seamless strokes.  Once she gets the skills, you can tell Christine is proud of herself (just like her instructor is) by smiling and nodding in excitement.

Good job Christine, keep up the good work!

Congratulations to our Murphy, TX Swimmer of the Month

Hannah is our SafeSplash swimmer of the month.  She is 6 years old and in the first grade. Hannah takes lessons twice a week and has been a SafeSplash swimmer for six months.  Her hobbies include anything science, painting, tea parties, and bike riding.  Hannah’s mom and dad are Mechelle and Randy.

Hannah began as a Level 2A swimmer and has progressed to Level 3.  Hannah is busy working on her big arms and side breathing now.  Swimming will be a life-long sport for Hannah.  Last fall, she was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes.  Hannah has found that swimming positively effects on her body.  Diabetics need to exercise and swimming is the perfect sport. Click here to see more information.

Recently, Hannah’s schedule started getting busy, and her Mom asked her if she needed to drop one of her swim lessons. Hannah informed her Mom that she “would let her know if swimming became too much, and it wouldn’t be swimming she would drop but one of her other activities.”  We love Hannah and her “I feel good today” smile!! We look forward to her continued improvements.
